In order to be legally married in Jamaica, there is documentation required as well as government requirements in their country. Please read over these items carefully and advise us of any questions you may have.
- Residency requirement - 48 hours (including weekends and holidays)
- State issued birth certificate.
- All pages of all court certified final divorce decrees.
- State issued death certificates with related marriage certificates (if applicable)
- Legal name change or legal adoption documents (if applicable).
- Passports will not be accepted in lieu of birth certificate.
- An original notarized sworn affidavit referring to documents specifically may also be provided to accompany photocopy of document.
- Original/Certified documents are also accepted however, documents will not be returned.
- Please send via courier service NOTARIZED COPIES (with the valid notary's original INK signature & stamp) of the required documents for both the bride and groom at least 60 DAYS prior to the arrival date.
- All Documents for both bride & groom must be submitted with a completed Wedding Information Form.
- All required documents are due 60 days prior to travel for ALL islands.
- A legal translator must translate all documents in a foreign language to English. Both Notarized versions must be submitted.
- A late fee of US$150 will apply for all documents received within 21 days prior to the arrival date.
Additional Information:
- Wedding dates and times vary and are subject to public holidays and availability. Couples will only be married at the resort in which they are booked.
- Couples must notify the Wedding Department at 1-877-SANDALS of number of guests attending the wedding at least 30 days prior to the arrival date.
- Setup/surcharges for additional guests above six apply and may vary by resort.
- Additional fees apply for Catholic and Jewish wedding ceremonies.
- Restrictions may apply with availability of Marriage Officer/Justice of the Peace.

Renewal of Vow Requirements & Documentation
- Couples must fax a copy of the state issued marriage certificate to the Wedding Department at (305) 668-2762 and hand carry the original to the resort.
- All Documents for both wife & husband must be submitted with a completed Renewal of Vow Information Form

- Renewal of Vow times vary and are subject to public holidays and availability. Couples can only Renew their Vows at the resort in which they are booked.
- Day passes apply for guests not staying at Grand Pineapple Beach Resort. Please contact the Wedding Department for pricing information at 1-800-327-1991, press option 4, and enter extension 4006.
- Renewal of Vow Passes are intended for genuine guests and not third party providers of services. Use of third party vendors for photography or other services that are offered by Sandals is strictly prohibited.
